Lady Gaga at Kennedy Center Honors reminds me of somebody that I used to know

The 37th annual Kennedy Center Honors aired last night.  Al Green, Tom Hanks, Patricia McBride, Lily Tomlin and Sting were the honorees with Stephen Colbert hosting.

This is the last time George Stevens Jr will produce the show; he announced at the event that he was being replaced.  AWKWARD!

In addition to the honorees, there were some performances: Bruce Springfield, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga among them.

Here’s Lady Gaga singing Sting’s “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You.”

Reminds me of something that’s truly outrageous. Oh yeah, this…

Which in my book = WINNING!

Here’s more about the night’s festivities and a fun slideshow.

And in related news…not really…”Jem and the Holograms” Movie — a reimagining of the 1980s animated series set in today’s world — is slated for an October 2015 release.  Not sure what to think, but fingers crossed it honors the spirit of this truly outrageous, music’s contagious cult hit series.

Happy New Year friends, talk to ya next year!
