Lady Gaga has got a permanent reminder of her hit film A Star is Born in the form of a new tribute tattoo.
The singer and actress showed off her new ink on social media on Valentine’s Day (14Feb19) revealing famed tattoo artist Daniel Winter was the steady hand behind the new design – a large rose on her spine with the song title La Vie En Rose.
Ally, Gaga’s character in Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut, which has been nominated for eight Oscars, sings the famous Edith Piaf tune, and now the 32-year-old can carry the treasured moment forever.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” the Poker Face singer captioned the shot of her new flower ink. “A tattoo toast to ‘la vie en rose’ by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose…”
And if one new tattoo wasn’t enough, Gaga got Winter to add even more inking to her impressive collection. The second tattoo is of some musical notes on her arm, which spell out G-A-G-A.
“And when you get a tattoo and you’re me you always have to get two also by @winterstone,” she captioned the second tattoo image, revealing her “bestie and manager” had a matching tattoo.
Tattoos occupy a fair share of the blonde star’s body, and she also has a unicorn, her album names, flowers, an anchor and a cherub in her extensive collection.
Gaga will be competing with Olivia Colman, Glenn Close, Melissa McCarthy and Yalitza Aparicio for the Best Actress Oscar at the 2019 Academy Awards on 24 February.
She already scored the Best Actress gong at the Critics’ Choice Awards, an honor she shared with The Wife star Close, though Colman was victorious at the BAFTAs for The Favourite and Close at the Golden Globes.
