Lisa Marie Presley has amended her divorce papers from husband Michael Lockwood to reflect a legal separation instead.
News the daughter of music icon Elvis Presley filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years surfaced on Tuesday.
However, new paperwork obtained by E! News on Thursday shows that Lisa Marie has changed the court documents to a legal separation, meaning, unlike divorce, the couple will still be legally married, but living separately.
She previously cited “irreconcilable differences” on the papers, listing the date of separation as June 13. Lisa Marie has requested full custody of their seven-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley.
Sources tell TMZ Lisa Marie has asked the courts to order Lockwood receive monitored visitation when he is with their children, and in addition to custody issues, the documents make it clear the couple has a post-nuptial agreement.
Lisa Marie tied the knot with the music producer in Japan in January 2006. Her first husband, Danny Keough, served as best man at the ceremony. Presley and Keough were married from 1988 until 1994 and share two grown-up children together – actress and model Riley, 27, and son Benjamin, 23.
Just 20 days after her divorce from Danny was finalized, Lisa Marie married Michael Jackson, but she filed for divorce from the singer in 1999. And following a failed engagement to rocker John Oszajca in 2000, she tied the knot with her third husband, actor Nicolas Cage in Hawaii in August 2002.
The union was short lived and Nicolas filed for divorce just 108 days after the ceremony. Their divorce was finalized in May 2004.
