Beef can be easy to cook on the grill or in the kitchen, if you know what cut you need. A local meat market or butcher can help you learn what cut you need and teach you about the cuts. Because of the variety of beef cuts, there is a cut for every meal or recipe you need. Sunday, May 7, Jennifer Dierkes, owner and manager of McDonald’s Meats in Clear Lake, will join Royalee Rhoads with the Minnesota Beef Council to answer all your beef related questions. McDonald’s Meats has been in business since 1914.
Jennifer Dierkes Bio:
In 2006, Jennifer Dierkes became a co-owner of McDonald’s Meats, Inc. This was a big step in both her and the business’s history. It was the first time in the 92-year family history someone other than a family member became an owner. She was also elected president of the Minnesota Association of Meat Processors for 2006 and 2007.
Today, even after 100 years, the business continues to grow. There are currently 38 employees. Jennifer is the General Manager and is involved in all aspects of the business. She still serves on the board of directors for MAMP. She hopes to be very active in the meat industry in Minnesota for many years to come.0
