Pluto hasn’t been feeling very special lately. Especially after being relegated to dwarf planet status.
The wee little planety-like thing, however, is about to get a whole lot more attention.
On Tuesday, after a nine year journey covering three billion miles, NASA’s New Horizons probe will fly by Pluto.
It’s the first time a spacecraft has done so. Ever. At least, a human spacecraft… that we know of.
The good news for nerds and science lovers everywhere is that you’ll be able to watch the flyby live. Sort of. NASA will live stream coverage of the event, but it’s not likely you’ll see the actual photos from the probe until Wednesday. Still, pretty cool, right?
