I’m probably in trouble. I mean, sometimes my kids (just like yours) do things that are so cute and hilarious and potentially embarrassing that I capture it and upload it to my digital shared albums, AKA Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and the like. I mean, kids are entertaining!
But this story has got me thinking twice about that. An 18 year-old girl in Austria is suing her very own parents for posting embarrassing pictures of her on Facebook. Those embarrassing pictures include photos of her having her diaper changed, and sitting on the training toilet. She claims that those pictures, which were shared with her parents’ 700 Facebook friends have made her life misery.
Meanwhile, her parents refuse to take the pictures down, claiming they took them, they own them. (Clever. After all, we did learn that from the famous Ellen selfie from the Emmys a few years ago).
Whose side are you on?
