Paul McCartney and Rihanna duet at ‘Oldchella’

First of all, let’s get this sorted out, everyone’s been using the term ‘Oldchella’ to describe this concert in the desert featuring Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and The Who, among others. The concert took place over the weekend in the same venue that the Coachella festival takes place, Empire Polo Club. But the REAL name of the festival is Desert Trip.

At this point, they may as well have renamed it officially, because nobody, and I mean NOBODY has referred to it as Desert Trip.

Now that we have that out of the way, we should talk about the very coolest thing that happened this weekend at ‘Oldchella.’ In a bid to take the ‘OLD’ out of ‘Oldchella’, Paul McCartney invited some fresh blood onto the stage with him. He and Rihanna did a live rendition of their recent hit, “FourFiveSeconds.” Kanye West was not on site, but no doubt was pleased that the two brought more attention to the hit that he collaborated with the two on.

See it here. So great.
