I give it ♥♥♥ Loves.

It was such a pleasure to see Jane Fonda and Robert Redford on screen again. The magic they displayed in their other movies is still there. You can tell these two are very comfortable acting together.

Based on the best-selling book, ‘Our Souls At Night” is the story of Addie and Louis, neighbors in a small Colorado town. They have known each other for decades. One evening Addie knocks at Louis’ door and makes a surprising proposition. This leads to a wonderful love story between two people who have come to know that when you are alone, the hardest part is the nights. Little by little we get to know their back story. Both have had their share of sadness in their live’s . When Addie’s grandson comes to live with her,  Louis really comes alive. What I loved about their story is how their relationship grew more and more intimate, but not so much on a physical level as it did emotionally.

Our Souls At Night is what I like to call a great films for adults. No explosions, no needless vulgar language, no violence. Just a sweet story about two people who meet at a time in their lives when they truly need each other. This movie is certainly good enough to have been released in theaters, but as we know all too well,  studios these days aren’t interested in this type of story. Thanks goodness for Netflix.
