Sarah Paulson wears custom Prada arm cast for Golden Globes

Sarah Paulson rocked a custom Prada arm cast after injuring herself before the 2021 Golden Globes.

The 46-year-old actress was nominated for her role in the Netflix show Ratched, and collaborated with her long-time stylist Karla Welch on a stunning look for the ceremony, which was held virtually this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Hours before the event was due to begin, Paulson took to social media and shared a picture on her Instagram Stories of her bandaged arm covered in an ice pack, simply captioning it: “So this happened.”

It’s not known how she sustained the injury, but her stylist worked her magic and teamed up with Prada to create a custom designer cast for the American Horror Story star.

“When you’re Lady Paulson, you get a custom Prada cast to go with your custom Prada dress,” Welch wrote alongside the snap.

For the ceremony, Paulson wore a black off-the-shoulder belted Prada gown with delicate embellishment, silver earrings and slicked back hair, with her purple cast, featuring the logo of the Italian fashion house, complementing her show-stopping look.

“Perfection,” designer Marc Jacobs commented on the snap, while Lisa Rinna wrote: “OMG!!!!!!!”

Welch also styled Kristen Wiig for the ceremony, with the Wonder Woman 1984 star wearing a strapless mint green Prada babydoll dress, as well as Golden Globes co-host Amy Poehler, who rocked a custom black Moschino sequined dress.
