Spotlight on: Hot cloth cleansers

There are so many different kinds of cleansers on the market these days, it can be tricky to know which one is best for you.

Have you ever considered using a hot cloth cleanser? The formula deeply cleanses to instantly remove daily grime, pollutants and make-up, even stubborn mascara, to leave skin feeling balanced, clean, and soft. Adding a pure cotton cloth into the mix helps gently exfoliate the skin, lifting away dead cells to reveal smoother, clearer, and brighter-looking skin.

You should use a hot cloth cleanser morning and night and as the first step of your skincare routine, followed by toner and moisturiser. Squirt two pumps of the cleanser into your hand and then massage the creamy formula onto dry skin over your face and neck. Rinse the cloth with hot water and wring it out before gently polishing off the cream and finish off by splashing your face with cool water.

“Facial massage is my go-to for a glowing skin. Make your cleansing routine relaxing and effective by doing a couple of minutes of facial massage with C&P,” says Liz Earle Ambassador and Facialist Sarah Carr. “Use gentle sweeping movements down the face and neck to de-puff or upward and outwards circular movements to lift and tone.”

Some hot cloth cleansers may have additional or slightly different steps, with some instructing you to place the hot cloth on your face to open up the pores before applying the cleansers and others may suggest you rinse the cloth in cold water and place over your face to close them to complete the routine.
