Here’s how the Star Tribune writers, Jon Bream and Chris Riemenschneider reacted to the Prince tribute that took place that the Xcel Energy Center on Thursday night.

Jon Bream said that the show made us miss Prince, because it reinforced the fact that there is no one else like him:

Chris Riemenschneider, with whom we spoke today at 9:30 am (Check out the podcast for the interview), focused on fans’ appreciation of the event:

On-air, however, Riemenschneider said that he may have been a harsher critic than Bream, going even so far as to refer to the show as a “trainwreck.”

He implied that the after-show at First Ave was really the place to be, and that he could have skipped the X altogether.

It may not be what we want to hear, but we value the honest opinion.

Were you at the show? What did you think?
