Taylor Swift trying to Make her Mansion A Historical Landmark

It’s not because Taylor Swift is  arrogant, it’s because the home itself is famous. Taylor Swift is getting the proper paperwork in order to establish her home as a historic landmark.  The home was built in 1936, and it was previously owned by Samuel Goldwyn Jr., the legendary film producer and head of Metro-Goldwyn Mayer Studios.  In the height of the golden age of cinema, many famous film stars have stayed in the home, including Clark Gable, Marlene Dietrich and Charlie Chaplin.

In addition to the six bedrooms and five bathrooms, the historic house features a formal dining room, a movie theater, a library, a gym, a swimming pool and a pool house. It also includes a private guest suite above the garage.

Taylor bought the mansion in 2015, and has constant work on the property to preserve the original architecture.  Purchased for $25mil, she probably will end up spending another $5mil to restore it.
