The MTV Movie Awards were crazy last night. With Rebel Wilson rolling around onstage making out with her “Pitch Perfect” co-star to The Rock and Kevin Hart rapping about Leonardo DiCaprio getting “blanked” by a bear, the show was just a little much for me, and I’m not even sure what I mean by that.

There was a highlight though, and that was the trailer debut for the Harry Potter spin-off book and film, “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them,” starring Eddie Redmayne.

I haven’t read the book, because I’ve been too afraid that it was going to tarnish the legacy of Harry Potter in some way. After seeing the trailer, I just might read it after all. The movie looks like it’s going to be so good!

It is nostalgic for Harry Potter fans to be able to see something new that refers to the Dumbledore and Hogwarts of yore, with the same production value of the later Potter films. Not to mention, Eddie Redmayne is such a fantastic actor.

The plot centers around his character, who, despite Dumbledore’s best effort, was expelled from Hogwarts for endangering his classmates with animals, now finds himself in New York City.

Are you a Harry Potter fan? Are you excited for “Fantastic Beasts”?

xoxo,
Marley
