‘Titanic’ composer James Horner presumed dead after plane crash

A plane registered to Oscar-winning composer James Horner crashed in California Monday morning. The only occupant, the pilot, presumed to be James Horner, is dead.

The coroner has not released the name of the pilot and the family of James Horner had not confirmed he was in fact flying the plane when it crashed.

Horner won two Academy Awards for his music in the movie “Titanic.”

He was 61.

We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
