TMZ is reporting that Prince was treated for a drug overdose days before his death.

They are saying that the emergency landing the singer made in his private jet in Moline, Illinois last week was not due to the flu, but rather due to an overdose.

Their sources say he was rushed to a hospital where he was given a “save shot,” something administered following an overdose on an opiate.

They say Prince was advised to stay at the hospital for 24 hours, but when he and his team couldn’t book a private room, they bailed.

Requests for further information on cause of death from hospitals and his team have gone unanswered.
