Tristan Thompson has spoken about his newborn daughter True for the first time.
The basketball player welcomed baby True, his first child with partner Khloe Kardashian, on 12 April (18) – amid allegations that he was unfaithful throughout Khloe’s pregnancy.
While Tristan didn’t address the cheating claims during his appearance on the Road Trippin podcast on Wednesday (09May18), he did open up about his new arrival, and who she’s taking after.
“This is the first girl Thompson, female Thompson, so it’s huge,” he said, adding that she has green eyes, a “full head of hair” and measured 21 inches (53 cm) long at birth – a little longer than the average newborn baby.
But the little girl has yet to overwhelm her parents, as Tristan joked: “Baby True is eating, sleeping, and uh, s**ting… That’s all they do right now.”
As well as True, Tristan also shares a 16-month-old son named Prince with his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, and admitted his eldest child is “getting big”.
However, he also revealed that he is taking a different parenting approach with True than he did with Prince.
“With a boy, it’s just like, ‘Hey, man. You’ll be alright, man. Stop crying.’ (With True,) it’s like, ‘True, it’s going to be okay… We’re right here. Daddy’s here to feed you. It’s me, look!’ It’s way different. It’s fun, though,” the 27-year-old smiled, adding that he refuses to do baby talk: “I talk to her like an adult.”
Since True’s birth, Khloe and Tristan have been bonding with the newborn in their adopted hometown of Cleveland.
And despite claims that Khloe was ready to call time on her romance with Tristan following the cheating allegations, it seems the pair may have moved past their issues.
As well as being seen out for lunch earlier this month, Khloe and Tristan were spotted catching a matinee showing at the cinema this week.
