Victoria Beckham’s sold out Target line is being resold for triple the price on eBay.
The British fashion designer is the latest in a long line of style stars to team up with the thrifty U.S. retailer, following in the footsteps of Peter Pilotto and Prabal Gurung, among others.
Victoria’s womenswear and children’s line for Target gives fans the chance to snap up her pieces for a fraction of what her clothes usually cost, but those who were not lucky enough to snag anything are facing hiked up costs online.
The orange scalloped edge dress, which is reminiscent of pieces Victoria has previously designed for her main line, and which retails for $50, is being sold on the auction website for $111, while a black dress featuring white collar detail is going for nearly three times its retail price, $118 up from $43.
Despite the massive price hikes, Victoria was quick to express her excitement at the success of her latest venture. She was also forced to apologize after a technical glitch prevented buyers from getting their hands on her designs.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the day the line officially dropped, she told fans: “I am overwhelmed by your response to my #VBxTarget collaboration launch! Thank you for your patience and sorry for any frustration! x VB.”
The collection sold out in just four hours.
Victoria’s popular line also features plus-size offerings, with the designer recently telling The Sunday People she had designed the clothes “for women no matter their budget, age or size”.
