Yesterday was Back to Hogwarts Day – the official day that Hogwarts students board the Hogwarts Express to begin a new school year. Platform 9 3/4 was even on the real schedule at London’s King Cross rail station.

But, it was in jest because there was no real Hogwarts Express to shuttle pupils to school (I mean, I KNOW that the Hogwarts Express isn’t real, but still, Bummer.)
However, if you need to get a real Harry Potter fix and don’t want to visit Universal Studios, you can visit the North Philadelphia neighborhood of Chestnut Hill in October for their Harry Potter Festival. Taking place during the weekend of October 21-22, the Harry Potter festival turns the neighborhood into Hogsmeade and the local college transforms into Hogwarts!
How cool is this? You can even take their own version of the Hogwarts Express via Philadelphia’s public transit system.
Would you go to a Harry Potter Festival?
