Over the weekend, the news came out that Jane Lynch, who was slated to do the voiceover for the Lifetime feature “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever,” had pulled out of the deal following her Emmy win for “Hollywood Game Night.”
Reportedly the role is still up for grabs.
But, it got me thinking, why does Grumpy Cat make me so sad?
I mean, he’s just a cute little cat. He doesn’t mean to look grumpy. That’s just his face. He’s just a cat with BRF.
How would you feel if you had BRF and people made a spectacle out of it. Not good, right?
I’m not usually one to argue for cat equality, but every time I see Grumpy Cat I get a little sad inside. I think he’s supposed to make people laugh, but he just makes me want to cry.
Am I alone? (I’m perfectly comfortable with the fact that I probably am.)
