Winnie Harlow wants an apology from the Daily Mail

Winnie Harlow has insisted the Daily Mail owes her an apology.

The model, who rose to fame on America’s Next Top Model in 2014, has become a prominent figure in fashion and on the showbiz scene.

While her celebrity status has afforded her plenty of perks, Winnie also finds herself the subject of unflattering stories, such as when she was recently slammed for alleging fat shaming an unsuspecting sunbather, who turned out to be a friend of Winnie’s, Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton’s uncle Terry.

When asked by British magazine Grazia who owes her an apology, Winnie was quick to reply: “The Daily Mail. I think they owe a lot of people apologies though.”

Since finding fame, 23-year-old Winnie, real name Chantelle Brown-Young, has become something of a role model because of her skin condition vitiligo. She regularly speaks out on the matter, and even won the Role Model award at the 2015 Portuguese GQ Men of The Year event, though admits she wishes people would ask her more than skin deep questions.

“Not sharing all of my story, and letting the media create my story for me,” she said of her biggest regret. “I’m so much more than my skin, but that’s what I’m always asked about, so I answer, and the cycle continues.”

As for what she’d delete from the Internet given half the chance, Winnie said she’s love to get rid of fake romance rumors. She’s previously been linked to F1 ace Lewis, Nick Cannon and rapper Drake.

“Anyone I’m supposed to have dated, because I probably haven’t,” she laughed.
