You won’t hear us say this very often

We think Jenny McCarthy and her husband Donnie Wahlberg were spot-on when they addressed the Mariah Carey controversy on her radio show the other day.

McCarthy, who serves as co-host of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, said that Mariah should stop blaming everyone else, and her husband, a singer and performer, said that if something like the NYE fiasco happens, it is on the artist.

McCarthy also said Mariah’s voice is just not there anymore.

THANK YOU to Jenny McCarthy for saying what no one else is, and for standing up for Dick Clark Productions!

Not that we want to join in on the blame game, but the person who is blaming everyone is the only person responsible for this debacle: Mariah Carey. If there were any technical malfunctions, that’s on her for not going through a proper soundcheck.

Additionally, Mariah was supposed to lip sync those songs. She can’t sing the way she used to. So, not only did the performance not go as planned, but the fact that she so heavily depends on lip syncing became glaringly obvious.

The fallout from the media has only made it worse, because her team is not being honest.

Of course, they’re trying to protect her, and ultimately, Mariah won’t take responsibility because it would mean realizing the one thing she is trying to protect and her biggest fear: her talent and career are not where they used to be.
