Zara Tindall and her husband Mike have welcomed a baby boy.

A spokeswoman for Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter and the former England rugby player announced that their third child – a boy named Lucas Philip Tindall – was born on Sunday, weighing 8lbs 4oz.

On his podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, Mike revealed Zara gave birth to their son on the bathroom floor of their home as they didn’t have enough time to get to the hospital.

“Arrived very quickly. Didn’t make it to hospital. On the bathroom floor,” he said. “So yeah, it was running to the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get the mat on the floor, towels down, brace, brace, brace.

“Fortunately the midwife who was going to meet us at the hospital wasn’t that far away so she drove up just as we had assumed the posit (position) and the second midwife arrived just after the head had arrived.”

Mike and the daughter of Anne, Princess Royal are already parents to two children – seven-year-old Mia and two-year-old Lena.
